Learn how to perform this quick, gentle procedure in the office setting

Learning how to perform the Essure procedure is quite simple. We offer the following resources to help you learn how to provide this effective and incision-less permanent birth control option for women whose families are complete.

The Essure training program is a comprehensive course designed to provide information and skills necessary to perform the Essure procedure, identifyvappropriate patients and manage technical issues related to the placement of Essure micro-inserts for permanent birth control.

Training includes the following modules: didactic training, hands on simulation training and preceptored cases. In order to become an Essure certified physician, we offer multiple convenient options for training either online or in person.

    1. One on One Training Session (conveniently in your office)
  • Online Training for physicians, nurses, staff, administrators and residents
    1. Essure Training Didactic
    2. Essure Confirmation Test Didactic
    3. Webinars
  • Procedure review steps
  • Post-procedure protocols and patient follow up

Essure Training Steps

Step 1: Sign in to MyEssureMD on this site and choose your Didactic Program training option.
Step 2: Identify and schedule 2-3 patients for the Essure procedure.
Step 3: Complete hands-on training on the Essure device with a Conceptus designated preceptor.

On completion of your clinical training and certification, the Conceptus Healthcare Affairs Department can provide reimbursement support and office education to your staff.
